as long as shitty mechanics don't ruin it the protege5 will run a good long time. Mine over heated, got head Gasket replaced and is burning oil as a result now but runs great besides the cloud of smoke on start. Hitting 156K. I'm on original clutch and everything else.

I've owned a P5 and a 760. If you don't need the extra space the P5 is better in every other way.
